What does scan-ai actually do?
It reads receipts you photograph, upload, or forward by email, pulling every line item and a confidence score. It then suggests a tax category mapped to a US Schedule C or Canadian T2125 line, and lets you import, organize, report on, export, and chat with that data.
Does scan-ai import my bank transactions automatically?
No. There is no connected bank feed. You can upload a bank or card statement as a CSV or PDF and scan-ai will parse the transactions and flag recurring subscriptions, but it never logs into your bank.
Does scan-ai file my taxes?
No. scan-ai organizes and categorizes your receipts and gives you clean exports for your accountant or tax software. It does not file returns or replace a full accounting suite.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan includes 20 receipt scans and 5 AI chat messages with no credit card. Every tier includes the full feature set; paid tiers raise the scan and chat limits.
