How does scan-ai track my spending against a budget?
You set a monthly cap per category, and each scanned receipt is attributed to the matching category. scan-ai sums that spend against the cap and shows what you have spent, what remains, and the percentage used per category. The totals update as new receipts land, so you never wait for month-end.
Can I have more than one budget?
No. Each account has a single active budget, and you add categories to it. You can change the budget's caps and categories whenever you want, but scan-ai keeps exactly one budget active at a time rather than juggling several at once.
Does scan-ai connect to my bank to import transactions?
No. scan-ai does not link to bank or credit-card accounts. Spend is built from the receipts you scan or forward by email, plus any expenses you add by hand. If there is no receipt and no manual entry, it does not show up in your budget.
Can a budget track spending in more than one currency?
Yes. A budget has a home currency, and receipts in other currencies are converted to it so they all roll up into the same category caps. You set the cap once in your home currency and foreign-currency receipts count toward it automatically.
