Build it once. Run it whenever.
A report is a saved recipe — a range, a set of filters, a grouping, and the exact columns you want. Save it as a template and pull the same view next month without rebuilding anything.
Filter down to what matters
Pick a range — this month, the quarter, year-to-date, the year, the last 30 days, or a custom window — then narrow to business-only, deductible-only, has-attachments, an amount threshold, or specific entities.
Choose exactly which columns appear
Build the layout from a catalog of receipt fields, line-item fields, custom fields, and even the receipt image URL. Group by date, category, or vendor; sort however you like; save the whole thing as a template.
Put it on a schedule
Have a saved report emailed weekly on a chosen day of the week, or monthly on a chosen day of the month — to yourself and up to two other people. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
Turn expense reports from your receipts into a saved template.
Pick the window you care about and filter the way you think. Business-only for the quarterly review. Deductible-only when the accountant asks. Has-attachments when you need every line backed by an image. Or narrow to a single entity — say, just your rental property.
Then decide what the report shows. Group by date, category, or vendor, sort it however you like, and pull columns from receipt fields, line-item fields, your own custom fields, and even the receipt image URL. Save it once and the layout comes back every time.
- Ranges: this month, quarter, year-to-date, year, last 30 days, or custom
- Filter by business-only, deductible-only, has-attachments, or an amount threshold
- Narrow to specific entities
- Group by date, category, or vendor and pick your own columns
Have the report show up in your inbox.
Take any saved report and put it on a schedule. Weekly on a day of the week you choose, or monthly on a day of the month — emailed to you and up to two other people, like a partner and your bookkeeper. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, so anyone you add can step out on their own.
A schedule is a snapshot: it captures the report’s range, filters, and columns at the moment you set it up. Editing the underlying report later won’t change reports already on a schedule — what got scheduled keeps sending. Scheduled emails go out at a fixed time each day, so the day is yours but the hour is set.
- Weekly (a chosen weekday) or monthly (a chosen day of the month)
- Emailed to you plus up to two other recipients
- One-click unsubscribe on every email
- Snapshot schedules — later edits don't rewrite what's already sending

What can I filter a report by in scan-ai?
Pick a range (this month, the quarter, year-to-date, the year, the last 30 days, or a custom window), then narrow to business-only, deductible-only, has-attachments, or an amount threshold. You can also limit a report to a specific entity. Group the results by date, category, or vendor and choose exactly which columns appear.
Can scan-ai email a report on a schedule?
Yes. Save a report, then set it to send weekly on a chosen weekday or monthly on a chosen day of the month, to yourself and up to two more recipients. A schedule is a snapshot of the report's range, filters, and columns, so editing the underlying report later does not change what is already sending. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
What file formats can I export a report as?
You can export a report as CSV, PDF, or ZIP. The PDF is a paginated table of the same rows, and the ZIP bundles a CSV alongside the attached receipt images. Scheduled emails send the report as a CSV attachment.
Can I search receipts by merchant name in a report?
No. Reports do not apply a merchant or vendor name filter, so there is no free-text merchant search when building one. You can group results by vendor and add a vendor column, but to narrow the rows themselves use the range, business-only, deductible-only, has-attachments, amount, and entity filters.
